My fifty adult-size, hand-knitted hats were dispersed...

...to the community-in-need with the help of community partner Showering Love. I hand-made these first fifty hats, sustainable items that will provide physical warmth for years to come, as well as reminders to the homeless populations receiving them that their community cares. 

After completing my fifty hats, I joined in on an incredible Showering Love event, dispersing hats to the target community. Nothing could have prepared me for seeing the joy on people's faces as they selected hats in their favorite colors or even took an extra for a loved one; the hats were not the only thing that was tight-knit, for the community certainly was.

As people learn how to knit through the community events and the "Knitting 101" YouTube video, others continue this mission. While I made these fifty hats, these were only the *first* fifty.
